The Buttercup photos are found on the previous blog post.  As mentioned yesterday, the Buttercup is much darker than the Sunshine.

I’m back!

July 13th, 2010

Yes I know I’ve been quiet for a while but you know…stuff happens :)

So today I spent time taking new photos of the Tonals - I hope they show off the yarn much better than before.   It’s actually the way I first posted photos (too bad I couldn’t figure out how to find them on my computer!) but changed to full skein shots as per some requests.  But I like the close-ups better … and since I’m the one taking the photos…I get to choose :)

For this week…in commemoration of the bright sunny weather…all yellow merino is 25% off.    I know it’s not the most favorite colour…but I happen to love it!  Especially Sunshine yellow:

(photo coming but computer upload just froze)

And here’s Buttercup which is a much darker/deeper yellow - same family just darker:

buttercup-8-10.JPG

Funnily enough, the Buttercup is really quite popular…especially in Toronto, ON.

As usual, if the sale price doesn’t show just put a note on your order as I’m posting this before I forget and before I change the prices on the site.

And the SSL problems are fixed.  But the HST (new tax in BC) has hit a snag and I’m waiting on my web guy to fix it…so your invoice might show the wrong tax - no worries as I’ll adjust it manually and let you know the total before I ship.

Happy shopping….and happy knitting in the lazy days of summer!

Website problems

July 11th, 2010

Seems that there’s been some problems with the website - off and on since July 1 when the taxes changed in Canada.  So if you are having problems ordering just email me at info(at)indigomoonyarns(dot)com or hit the contact button on the website www.indigomoonyarns.com  and we can go from there.  Seems some people are able to make a purchase whereas for others it says the site is not SSL secure…which it is.

Hope to have it fixed soon but it all depends on my webmaster….he’s usually very hard to get….let’s cross are fingers this time he’s sitting right by the computer with time to spare :)

Dear Friends,

The Dalai Lama turns 75 tomorrow. For decades he has given us all hope — setting a generous example of wisdom, non-violence and compassion for a better world.

Now we can return the favour — let’s send the Dalai Lama a birthday tribute from millions of us worldwide! It will be delivered personally to him on a “wall of warm wishes” outside the temple in Dharamsala and broadcast around the region.

Let’s take this moment to honour the Dalai Lama together and make his birthday last as long as we keep signing! — click here to sign the tribute — then forward this alert to everyone so they can do the same:

Imagine all of our names together on a massive public tribute to the Dalai Lama, from Brazil to Ghana, Italy to Indonesia — tens of thousands of messages of hope, gratitude and encouragement streaming in from all around the world!

The spiritual leader of Tibet has spent over 50 years in exile, and he continues to preach peace and compassion. Let’s share with him how much the world values him and is inspired by his life. Click here to sign the global birthday tribute to the Dalai Lama:

PS: The Avaaz community has been supporting radio stations, bloggers, and censorship avoidance technologies to ensure information comes in and out of closed Tibet. We will work with these partners in the coming days to ensure our global birthday messages of hope, gratitude and encouragement from around the world reach hundreds of thousands of Tibetans and Chinese.

Solistice sold out!

July 1st, 2010

On a cheerier note…all the extra Solstice yarn is sold out from the July Yarn Club.  If enough Yarn Club members are interested, I can do up another batch specially for you.  We’d need  8-10 skeins all together - it wouldn’t be exact but it would be close.

cheers

A video to start your day…not the best way :)

quote of the day

June 30th, 2010

“When I despair, I remember that all through
history the ways of truth and love have always
won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and
for a time they can seem invincible, but in the
end they always fall. Think of it–always.” Mahatma Gandhi

It’s that time again :)

June 28th, 2010

All IM Yarn Club packages were shipped today.  The colourway is called “Solistice” in recognition of the beginning of summer.  Thanks for being part of the Club…hope you like it!
