The new name is Pur silk and it’s exquisite!
Each skein is 100gm of pure spun mulberry silk that I hand dyed in some fun (for me) colourways.
Click on http://www.indigomoonyarns.com/index.php?cPath=36_21 and look for the silk labelled *NEW*. Stock is limited so pop in soon.
Cheers
After 2 years of searching I finally found me new yarn base. It is a 2 ply spun mulberry silk at 650 yds per 100gm skein…. so what should we call it? Simply Silk or Pur Silk? This new yarn base is similar to what you found in the Gemstone Silk series…though I think the quality is a touch nicer and … fewer/no knots! Not only is it virtually knot-free but also the skeins are all 100gm weights …which makes me happy. The various skein sizes were driving me a bit bonkers.
The price will remain the same though the cost-to-me is quite a bit more for this silk.
So any thoughts on a name? If so email me through my website (so I get fewer spammers) at www.indigomoonyarns.com - hit the contact button and let me know what you think. I’ll post pics shortly.
cheers

Spring is here! The bees are buzzing, the birds are chirpping and the flowers are blooming and….the new yarn is here!
This merino wool is a comfy soft wool that is perfect for sweaters, blankets, scarves, shawls, hats pretty much anything …except socks
It is a DK wt yarn 20sts/4″ 4mm needles suggested. 210yds/100gm skein.
As with all my yarns, they are hand-dyed by me in small batches with environmentally friendly dyes.
Certified Organic Merino Wool…it doesn’t get much better than that!

Phew! I made it before the courier did (although he’s late due to vehicle problems which concerns me…a bit). I’ve been working virtually non-stop for days to get ready for shipping to Abbotsford. Usually I attend myself - and drive - so if I run out of time I just put everything in the van and sort it at the show. This time I won’t be there myself so everything was being shipped via courier. Here’s some of the boxes waiting for pick up:
And some of the silk before being packed. It is exquisite!!! Not as much as I’d hoped in the mulberry silk …but it’s all reskeined and any skeins with more than 3 knots were held back so you can be assured great and troublefree skeins!
The show is at the AgRec Centre in Abbotsford March 26-27 check here for details www.fibreswest.com
Indigo Moon Yarns will be at booth 601. Lots of great yarns - new colourways - new yarns - the ever-popular superwash merino - the oooh so sumptuous Silken Pleasures and…..Indigo Moon Yarn’s newest addition….I won’t tell you here…you’ll have to visit the show to find out or check the blog later this week…I’ll post on Thursday in case you want to rush on over to pick some up…it’s my most favorite yarn …and now it’s finally available for all of you!
Some new silk babies - various colourways and sizes - I’ll be putting up on the site later today…aren’t they cute?
I have to label each one individually with yardage and type of yarn - all are silk - all are natural dyes - mostly Muga - all are “one ofs”.
Just filled up the website with at least half a dozen different Handpainteds….it’s been a while …thanks for your patience

The Sun is out and Spring is in the air.
And here’s a silk - naturally dyed with cochineal and indigo. I only have 2 available - each skein has about 980 yds of fine lace weight muga silk.
Happy Shopping www.IndigoMoonYarns.com
I was going to hold these skeins back for the Abbotsford show at the AgRec Centre in March….but I jsut can’t wait that long! Only 6 skeins available and the Amethyst colour is gorgeous! It came out better than expected!!! 2 skeins are suggested for the Dryad shawl you saw advertised in the Winter Issue of Twist….Syvia designed the stole with this very yarn …different colourway but same silk. It’s the perfect colourway for Spring!
