I’m back and….

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

I’m back from the Frolic yippee!  The show was a huge success!  It was great to see familiar faces from last year and lots and lots of new Indigo Moon yarnies :)

Unfortunately ….I forgot my camera in my room and have no pics to share:( which is extra sad since the booth looked awesome!  Chanterelle lady’s Aeolian shawl in the Autumn Gold muga silk was a hit - I sold almost all the muga I had shipped!  When I got home I received the bad news that this muga silk is no longer available :( .  I will be looking for a new lace wt tussah silk which - although not handspun - will also be 1000-1500 yards per skein and it should dye up similarly.  I am heartbroken about it as I also use the silk in my weaving but oh well….got to roll with the punches I guess.

So it’s been quite a roller coaster over the past week.  I could write a lot more but….need to get back to dyeing as the new Pur Silk was a huge success!

Here are some of the colourways available:

Passion Pink

Today I’m excited!  Only 5 days till the Frolic Woo Hoo!

For all you lace knitters out there, I will have a **new lace wt yarn** at the Frolic.  There will be a limited number of skeins available.  So if you are interested in lace please stop by early….it’s exquisite (though I may be a bit biased :)

And for you DK knitters, I have the **new DK wt yarn** that is oh sooo comfy soft.  Also supply is limited.

And of course I will have colours upon colours of the fingering wt merino …and it will be on sale!

Can’t wait to see all you GTAers  on Sat …my stomach is already doing cartwheels!
See you there at **booth #51** (Heritage Court).

All gone!

After a amazingly terrible start to the day (this full moon day has played havoc with pretty much everything!)…the yarn has left for the Frolic!  I am totally exhausted …but thoroughly excited as once the yarn gets shipped….it means the show is almost here!
A reminder that the studio has been closed for most orders since April 22nd…and will reopen May 10.  You are welcome to still place orders at www.indigomoonyarns.com but they probably won’t be processed till I get back as most stock was shipped to Toronto.

Don’t forget to visit booth #51 if you are attending the show….I’d love to see you!

I’m back

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Woo hoo I’m back - what an amazingly busy week in TO.  The Frolic was amazing!!! Jam back with goodies, lots of people and beautiful weather (well until the windstorm at 5 pm blew down hydro lines through southern Ontario!)  I’ll post some photos tomorrow and the winner of the $25 of free yarn!

Talk to you then!

PS  I have 4 more skeins of the Olivine silk here in the studio - I ran out at the Frolic ….so if you’d like them please email me at infoatindigomoonyarnsdotcom and I will let you have the same price as you would have had at the frolic ie 2 for $80.

On the way…

Yippee! The Frolic’s almost here!|

Here’s a photo of all the yarn that is going to the Frolic - 11 boxes!  I’ve never been at a show in Ontario so wanted to make sure I had a bit of every colour and yarn type I had in stock.  Some of the yarn that will be available can be purchased solely at the show or online - not everything is available in the LYSs that carry the Indigo Moon line.

So if you are in the Toronto area  I hope to see you on April 25 at the Knitter’s Frolic at the JCCC.

See you there!

Knitter’s Frolic in Toronto

Monday, March 30th, 2009

knitters-frolic-09-200-x-70.jpg

Well it?s official?I will be visiting the very very big city of Toronto for the Knitters Frolic on April 22. I say ?very big? since I currently reside and have my studio on a small island off the West Coast of BC, which means I?m totally out of my element without lots of green trees, wildlife and space?lots of space!
And of course I haven?t flown in many years so was terribly freaking out about that all weekend?I like my feet on land or on something that is on land?and I?m a real homebody so get terribly homesick when I?m away?..ok maybe a bit too much information? I?m hoping that the more I talk about it the less fearful I will be?..if I could only drive there then I?d be fine :-)
Other than being terrified about flying?I?m really really excited about going to the Frolic - I?ve heard wonderful things about it for years and will so love to meet you all. I love love love to see what you all knit up with my yarn - it really inspires me?it?s so wonderful to be a part of the wonderful pieces you all create!

See you Torontonians in a few weeks
