Yarn Club almost ready

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

After some crazy dyeing last week the last of the skeins are almost dried - so all shipments will go out Mon or Tues this week.

And I was asked to clarify about the “buying and selling terms” for the Yarn Club.  You are welcome to trade and sell the colourways amongst current Yarn Club members if you like - just not in public on Ravelry as the subscribers paid to have access to the colourways before the general public….if I chose to release them eventually.  Sorry for any confusion about that.  I don’t know how the trading/selling would work as I can’t give out my client list - but maybe you have an idea?

…now off to label what’s dry :)

Cheers

Lost our power with the windstorm last night and now we’ve got lights again!  Woo HOO!  So I’m off to finish dyeing the last few skeins of the Yarn Club…I’m pretty excited about this.  Can’t show you any pictures as it’s a surprise for February :)

Rollercoaster News

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

Today I have lots of news bits…some good and some not so good.

The good news is….Yarn Club members should be receiving their first yarn deliveries this week.

Not so good news:  shipping costs were more than I had calculated for.

The good news:  The post mistress told me today that I can send the US parcels by small package instead of expedited.

Not so good news:  that means there is no tracking number with the shipment.

The good news is that most everyone that ships from here to the US (and there are a lot of small businesses here) use the small parcel service…and they are really happy with it.

So the really good news is…the cost of the Yarn Club for US customers will not increase for the next term….so all in all …it’s all good :)

Cheers

Yarn Club is open…and almost sold out!

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

It’s only been a few hours and alread we’re almost sold out!  Thanks everyone for signing up - all of the Canadian memberships were sold out in no time! I moved 5 over from the US sign up so there are 5 more Canadian memberships left and that’s it for this term. Thanks for the great response!

And also the shopping cart seems to be randomly charging pst on some Canadian orders. Don’t worry I caught it, and though I can’t personally change the cart (my webguy has to do that) I will change it on your credit card. I sent everyone a note - but just in case you didn’t already receive the note - I thought I’d post. The total for the Canadian cart is $90 (plus gst = $93.75)and the US is $130 (no tax).

Oh yeah…and our power just came back on after a mild wind storm…a bit of a crazy day!

Have a great one!

Wow what a crazy day!? So much for a quiet day of bookwork (nope I haven’t finished my taxes yet!)? It was so gorgeous outside…finally…that I really wanted to be outside but lo it was not meant to be!

Skylark, my Ravelry Angel, graciously donated her day today to help me work on this whole club/subscription venture.? Wow what a lot of things to consider!? I hope to send out a newsletter late this week with the details and open up subscriptions on April 1st.?

Clubs anyone?

Friday, March 13th, 2009

There’s been a lot of thinking going on in my brain lately so I wanted to ask….anyone interested in clubs?? If so, what kind of club would you like to see with Indigo Moon yarns?? A sock club?? a small project club? KALs?
And if you don’t like clubs…why not?? What have you seen in the past and not liked?? What would you like to see done differently with Indigo Moon yarns??
I’d really like to hear input from everyone if possible …or close to that …since what you want will help determine the direction?we will be going with this.
…I’m listening….
