I just finished putting up some newer - and hopefully better - photos on the website for the West Coast Musings.  It’s really hard to capture the shading of the colours …suffice it to say the pics aren’t as good as in real life :)

Here is a photo of the West Coast Musings resting after a grueling photo shoot :)

(oops seems the photo wouldn’t “stick” where I pasted it)

Cheers

West Coast Sunset oops Sale

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

115711521150.JPG

Not every batch comes out exactly as planned so I’ve decided to offer these “oopsies” for 35% off.   This is the West Coast Sunset colourway but lighter than I usually dye.  So if you are looking for something not quite as bold…this is it!  This is not a pastel - just a shade or two lighter than I was going for.  And there is a limited quantity so pop by soon if you are interested.

Just about finished

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Well today I sewed in the ends of my Ballet Camisole I started a few weeks ago - and crocheted around the edges…geesh that took a lot longer than anticipated.  It was knit in the round so there’s no seams to do up…which I love!   I made the deadline of the Knit Out this weekend.  I really wanted to wear this top as the Northern Steppe colourway is shown off very nicely…and it is my first successfully finished top that fits!  Ok it doesn’t have sleeves but I’m getting there :)

I’ll take another photo once it is blocked.

And a quick note to let you know that Wildberries is back in stock!

Indigo Moon Pattern Release!

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

February 14th…the day I have been waiting for….this is the day the first pattern specifically designed for my yarns goes live for sale….how exciting!? It has been such a pleasure to work with Debbie on this? - I think she’s done a great job pairing the West Coast Sunset with a pattern that really shows off the yarn well.? Some patterns out there pften compete with a hand dyed yarn - so I am so glad there is now?a pattern - that is doable at any skill level - that works up perfectly in my yarn!? Yippee!!!

?It’s called Chains of Love…a perfect for gift for yourself or someone you love….enjoy!

Dyeing again!!!

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

The snow is finally gone and the propane tanks thawed so I was able to dye some silk and merino over the past couple of days!? Those of you waiting for Charcoal silk, will be happy to know that the silk is dyed and drying…so hopefully next week you will receive your order.

I have a few more West Coast musings - they are still drying and have yet to be named so it’ll be a bit yet.

The merino shawl I posted about last time is now?finished…I need to press it before showing you the finished piece….and I’m not to big on ironing so…

And within the next 2 weeks, I should have a new site with a new look.? The site has not been the easiest to navigate on (and thus not everyone that wants to buy yarn has been able to!) so I’ve approached a guy that has done work for me before and he said he’ll fix everything up.? If there is a particular site you find easy to navigate, or you really like the look of, please let me know? - I have to do a really simple site though so no flash, animation or music…it would be lovely to have, but not right now.

And the link for today is?http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/44.html? I found this amazing stuff…I’ll say no? more….

Please visit the website at www.indigomoonyarns.com and hit “Shop Now”….only a few more days left on the semisolid?merino sale!? Happy shopping!?
