My first little purple/blue columbine of the year!!! She is so precious! She really did inspire newest batch of Lilacs in Spring….”Columbines in Spring” just doesn’t have the same ring to it .
I haven’t finished my Kimono vest – am about 2/3 of the way along and my mind is already on the next project At about what point to you start planning for the next one…or should I say, start knitting or swatching – for the next one?
I started knitting a swatch for a fingering wt Merino cardi in the Twilight Teal – I’ve been thinking about it for….a few years now . It’s really a daunting undertaking as the swatch alone is taking forever! Here it is on 2.75mm needles…I may try another swatch on 2.75-3mm needles in case I can get gauge with them. The swatches I did before – maybe a year ago – may be a touch different than I knit now…..here’s hoping!
OK maybe they aren’t new names….but each batch is a bit surprising these days…especially around a Full Moon. Pictured is Mandarin Moon and Gaia Green in The Ultimate Merino Sock and Wild Mushroom in the Island Time fingering wt Merino.
My van is out of commission for a few days – so some yarn orders will be later shipping than expected. If anyone have a 2005 GMC Safari they want to sell…please let me know (just don’t tell Lucy (my van) I’m looking )
